The first test between Bangladesh and Pakistan commenced today with the Pakistani bowlers dominating the match. Paceman Umar Gul (2-33) and Aizaz Cheema (2-35) led the attack on a spinner friendly pitch. Abdur Rehman and Saeed Ajmal took 3 wickets a piece to finish of the first innings of the Bangladeshi for just 135 all out.
The Pakistani opening pair Mohammed Hafeez and Taufiq Umar cruised along for the remainder of the day reaching 132/0 before stumps were called.
